THE GAME
Chains of Fate is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game in development, designed to live in a terminal.
Its world is drawn with UTF-8 characters, ASCII symbols and colour. Walls, doors, light and shadow become a readable landscape, one character cell at a time.
The current dungeon prototype establishes the foundations: procedural spaces, keyboard-driven exploration and a world revealed through light and line of sight.

Coloured UTF glyphs give stone and corridors their texture. Dynamic lighting and flickering torches shape what you can see.
The dungeon stays at the centre. A side panel, discovered-area minimap and paged status display keep essential information close.
